Hastings County Trail

This portion of the TCT runs 64km from Hungerford in the east to Hoard’s Station in the west. Primarily flat, this section of trail is suitable for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, snowshoeing and, when winter is over (it will end eventually), hiking/walking and cycling. For more information on the Hastings County Trail, please visit our trail locator.

You can also drop by the Northumberland Tourism office in Cobourg and visit Cori Arthur, who sent us the following info:

Just a reminder that we have in our office a free topo map of the Northumberland portion of the Trans Canada Trail from Hastings to Hoard’s Station. It’s a lovely trek along the abandoned rail line and I’ve made various notes of marshland, farm fields, beaver dams that you’ll see along the way.
