Richard Senécal, Coordinator of the Trans Canada Trail in Quebec discusses the brand new “sentier Pégase” in an interview with CBC Radio host Tim Balfour on the program Quebec a.m. Ten years in the making, this 65 kilometre trail will support 3 activities – horseback riding, hiking and, in the winter, cross-country skiing.
Running between the rivière St-Maurice at Mont Carmel, through Saint-Stanislas to the border of the greater Quebec City area, the trail features forested areas with some agricultural land and a river crossing at the 1,000 acre Parc de la rivière Batiscan. The project would not have been possible without the heroic efforts of volunteers from the Pegasus Trail; the recreation and sports unit of the Mauricie region; the regional municipalities of Chenaux and the Corporation Inter Rives La Gabelle.
